On May 18 Lutz Seiler will be reading in the Gerhart-Hauptmann Theater in Zittau from his newest novel "Stern 111" during the 19th Neisse Film Festival. In this novel the prize-winning author tells an atmospherically loaded family story from the time directly following the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The reading is part of the Focus series of this year's Neisse Film Festival. The programme of films and two exhibitions is dedicated to "Family Affairs", looking at the change happening in family concepts or the comparison between views on this subect in eastern and western Europe from before the political changes to today. A wide spectrum of human experiences are taken up, often with problem-oriented and tragic aspects yet also a number with comic constellations as well.
