It's a Record: Nearly 1,200 Entries for NFF 2026

The NEISSE NYSA NISA FILM FESTIVAL received nearly 1,200 films submissions for its 23rd year before the end of December 2025. A new record! The feature films, documentaries and short films which were submitted are competing for slots in three trinational competitions, and for the eleven coveted NFF prize sculptures, the Neisse Fish.

This amazing response is for us first and foremost a sign of trust from filmmakers in the steady work that our festival team has put in for many years. Now our task is to make a diverse and exciting selection and from that, to curate a programme which once again takes the varied cinematic voices seriously and brings them together into a productive dialogue.

The NEISSE NYSA NISA FILM FESTIVAL will take place from May 26 to 31 in the tri-country-corner along the Neisse River. Which films will be chosen in the end will be decided by early April.
